Volunteer bakers are sought for The Winthrop Maine Historical Society Cookie Walk.
The event is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 16, at the Winthrop History and Heritage Center, 107 Main St.
Drop off of cookies is requested between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, or Friday morning after 9 a.m. at the center. Items requested are holiday cookies, cookie bars, fudge and other small bread loaves, and holiday-themed snacks.
Items need to be wrapped in Saran or in individual bags with two or three cookies/items in a bag and labeled with cookie type and any special ingredients, such as nuts, or gluten free or egg free.
All proceeds from this event go to cover operational costs for the center.
