MADISON — Madison jumped out to a 21-point first quarter lead and never looked back on its way to a 55-19 win over Mt. Abram in girls basketball action Saturday.
Raegan Cowan led the scoring with 15 points for madison (3-0) while Alison Griffeth added seven.
Mt. Abram (1-3) was led by Ruthie Grister with five points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
MEDOMAK VALLEY 47, WINSLOW 36: Cory Donlin collected 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Panthers (4-1) beat the Black Raiders (2-2) in Waldoboro.
Mason Nguyen chipped in with 13 points and five assists.
Winslow was paced by Braden Rodrigue with 16 points.
GIRLS HOCKEY
BRUNSWICK 6, WINSLOW 3: Lauren Labbe scored four goals as the Dragons (4-3) defeated Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Messalonskee/Lawrence/Erskine/Maranacook (3-4) at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault in Hallowell.
Celeste Braillard contributed a goal and two assists, and Lily Calderwood also scored.
Katie Berard got all three goals for the Black Tigers, all on breakaways.
