AUGUSTA — Payton Mitchell scored a game-high 26 points as Mt. Abram breezed past Waterville 77-28 in boys basketball action at the Capital City Hoop Classic on Thursday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Cam Frost-Gray added 22 points for Mt. Abram (4-0) in the win.
Derek Couture led the way with nine points for Waterville (0-5).
RICHMOND 59, VALLEY 50: Kenny Mecham led the way with 17 points Wednesday as the Bobcats stayed unbeaten with a win in Richmond.
Hunter Mason added 16 points for Richmond (6-0). Wyatt Cassidy scored 11 points.
Valley (1-3) got 17 points from Fisher Tewksbury and 16 from Harry Louis.
WINSLOW 64, MCI 30: Braden Rodrigue had 14 points and six assists to lead the Black Raiders to the win in Winslow.
Matthew Reynolds added 11 points and eight rebounds for Winslow (3-2) while Brody Willette chipped in 11 points.
MCI (1-4) was led by Owen Moore with 11 points and Drew Shorey with 10.
