JACKMAN — Harry Louis had a game-high 24 points Tuesday as the Valley boys basketball team defeated Forest Hills 69-54 to hand the Tigers their first loss of the season.
Fisher Tewksbury added 18 points and six rebounds for Valley (3-3). Jared Ricker had eight points and nine rebounds.
Jaxson Desjardins led Forest Hills (6-1) with 20 points.
RICHMOND 82, RANGELEY 21: Wyatt Cassidy scored 18 points and Hunter Mason added 16 points as the Bobcats cruised to a victory in Richmond.
Jake Gay added nine points for Richmond (7-0).
Brayden Thompson led Rangeley (0-5) with nine points, while Sam Morrill added seven points.
WATERVILLE 56, ERSKINE ACADEMY 54, OT: The Purple Panthers earned their first win of the year as they topped the Eagles in South China.
Derek Couture had 19 points to lead Waterville (1-6), which trailed by nine entering the fourth quarter. Garrett Gendreau added 18 points.
Keenan Clark scored 16 points for Erskine (2-3).
DIRIGO 58, WINTHROP 45: Nathaniel Wainwright and Brady Philbrick both tallied 13 points for the Cougars in a win in Dixfield.
Travis Wright added another 11 points for Dirigo (4-1).
Brayden Branagan was the top scorer for Winthrop (3-2) with 15 points.
MT. ABRAM 75, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 42: Payton Mitchell scored 23 points to lead the Roadrunners to the win in Rumford.
Cam Grey added 14 points for Mt. Abram (5-0) while Killian Pillsbury had 12.
The Falcons (2-4) were led by Ben Desalle with seven points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 77, FOREST HILLS 38: Madeline Hill scored a game-high 27 points and added eight assists to lead the Cavaliers to the win in Jackman.
Liana Hartwell had a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Valley (7-0) while Kiersten Bigelow added 18 points and Bree Mills hauled in 19 rebounds.
Forest Hills (5-1) was led by Allie Dunning with 15 points and Kylie You with 11.
ERSKINE 55, WATERVILLE 32: Kelsie Dunn had 19 points to lead the Eagles to the win in South China.
Jackie Sasse added 12 points for Erskine (3-2) while Olivia Childs chipped in 10.
Waterville (2-5) was led by Mara Von Oesen with 16 points.
WINTHROP 55, DIRIGO 29: Kylee Mansir hit six 3-pointers and scored 23 points to lead the Ramblers to the win in Winthrop.
Winthrop (3-2) held Dirigo to two second-quarter points and led 34-9 at halftime. Ella Rice made three 3-pointers and added 10 points for the Ramblers.
Abby Luczynksi led the Cougars (1-4) with eight points. Sophie Nino-Aguirre contributed seven points and Aleiah Ward scored six.
