WATERVILLE — Elijah Cullen scored 15 points to lead Waterville past Maine Central Institute 55-51 in boys basketball action Saturday morning.
Garrett Gendreau added 14 points for the Purple Panthers (4-6) while Derek Couture chipped in 11.
Cole Allen and Drew Shorey each scored 15 points for the Huskies (1-7). Caleb Kennedy (11) and Brady Rogers (10) were also in double figures.
WINSLOW 75, MORSE 27: Braden Rodrigue led the way with 19 points as the Black Raiders overpowered the Shipbuilders in Winslow.
Tyler Nadeau and Brody Willette added 11 points each for Winslow (5-3) in the win. Matt Quirion brought down eight rebounds.
Jack Delano, Peyton Price and Brady Wallace had five points each for Morse (2-7).
LAWRENCE 73, OXFORD HILLS 52: The Bulldogs outscored the Vikings 43-15 over the second and third quarters to claim the win in Fairfield.
Dane Zawistowski had 22 points for Lawrence (4-3). The Bulldogs also got 10 points from Lucas Proctor.
Brady Delamater made five 3-pointers in a 20-point effort for Oxford Hills (3-4).
LINCOLN ACADEMY 67, MOUNT VIEW 59: Gabe Hagar scored 26 points, Lucas Houghton added 18 points, and the Eagles closed with a 19-8 run to top the visiting Mustangs in Newcastle.
Tucker Stiles added 10 points for the Eagles (7-1).
Mount View’s Noah Hurd had 23 points, including six 2-pointers, two 3-pointers and five free throws. Evensen and Ben Osborne added 13 points apiece for the Mustangs (5-2), who began the fourth quarter with a 50-44 lead after falling behind 23-9 in the first.
WINTHROP 59, LISBON 43: Carter Rivers scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Ramblers to the win in Winthrop.
Cody Cobb and Chan Ring each added eight points for Winthrop (4-2).
Owen Hurd scored 12 points for Lisbon (0-8) while Owen Booker had 11.
MT. ABRAM 93, TELSTAR/GOULD 61: The Roadrunners exploded for 31 points in the first quarter to kick-start their victory in Bethel.
Payton Mitchell poured in a game-high 32 points for Mt. Abram (7-0). Cam Grey added 16, Killian Pillsbury 12, Bryce Wilcox 10 and Logan Dube nine.
Reiley Hedden drained nine 3-pointers and scored 29 points for Telstar (3-4), and Brody Morgan finished with 12.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 82, KENTS HILL 25: Ella Giguere had 28 points as the Panthers breezed past the Huskies in Readfield.
Ava Wilkinson had 18 points on six 3-pointers for NYA (7-0). Anaya Roundy added 15 points.
Kents Hill (0-4) got nine points from Zoe Cheney and eight points from Lucy McDonald.
MOUNT VIEW 50, LINCOLN 32: Arianna Bradeen scored 19 points and Savannah Lorenz chipped in with 12 as the Mustangs won in Thorndike.
The Mustangs (5-2) recovered from a 17-12 first-quarter deficit, holding Lincoln to single digits in each of the final three quarters. Mt. View used a 17-3 advantage in the second quarter to open a 29-20 lead.
Mariam DeLisle scored eight points and Olivia Ball had seven for Lincoln (6-2).
