Katherine D. Ashe

SKOWHEGAN/DETROIT – Katherine D. Ashe, 77, died on Jan. 8, 2024, in Skowhegan.

Katherine was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Foster) Ashe. She was raised in Detroit, Maine, and attended the local schools. She was a lifelong learner with the insatiable thirst for knowledge. By navigating the internet she kept well informed and she read voraciously. She maintained an absorbing correspondence with friends.

She is survived by her first cousins, Mark and Drew Field; and by ever faithful friends: Thea Hottentot, Vi Ferland, and Doug Fernald.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her loving brother, Robert, who was her caregiver and died in 2021.

A private burial will be held at the Detroit Village Cemetery in the spring of 2024.
