GUILFORD — Madeline Hill scored 31 points — and was 13 of 13 on free throws — to lead the Valley girls basketball team to a 68-39 win in a Class C/D crossover on Saturday.

Liana Hartwell had 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals for the Cavaliers (11-0), while Kiersten Bigelow added 14 points.

Brianna Hunt had 15 points for the Pirates (2-6).

BOYS BASKETBALL

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 60, WINTHROP 48: Tanner Henry scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Falcons (5-5) past the Ramblers (5-4) in Rumford.

Jake New added 13 points and Ben Desalle 10 for Mountain Valley.

Braden Branagan led Winthrop with 15 points and Cole Bard pitched in 10.
