WATERVILLE — High school students are invited to Thomas College’s ninth annual Thomas Cup 2024.
The all-nighter is set for Friday and Saturday, March 29-30, at the 180 West River Road college.
The Thomas Cup is a free event in which teams of five students compete in science, technology, engineering and innovation competitions for the chance to win their names on the Thomas Cup and receive scholarships to Thomas College worth up to $10,000 over four years.
Competition areas include cyber defense, esports, computer science, and crime scene analysis, according to a news release from the college.
All Maine high school students are welcome to participate, no matter experience or skill sets. Thomas College professors, staff and current students aim to help them succeed, learn, and have fun.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
