JAY — The Select Board appointed 13 residents Monday to the 2024 Comprehensive Planning Committee.

The first committee meeting is Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. The second meeting is March 19 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the town office.

The committee is tasked with developing a plan for the future of the town, including what residents would like to see happen.

Those appointed to the committee are Jeff Gilbert, Chris Townsend, Joel Gilbert, Gary McGrane and Lynn Ouellette.

Also appointed to the committee are Planning Board members Mike Fournier, Daniel Ryder, Sue Theberge, Jamie Carden-Leventhal, Barbara Cook, Brandon Hobbs, Cheryl-Ann Jerry and Dennis Stevens.

The Select Board gave the Planning Board the go-ahead to lead the process of updating the Comprehensive Plan in June 2023. The last time the plan was updated was in 2011.
