SALEM TOWNSHIP — Payton Mitchell scored 30 points as the Mt. Abram boys basketball team stayed undefeated with a 78-45 win over Winthrop on Thursday.
Cam Grey added another 21 points for Mt. Abram (13-0).
Carter Rivers finished with 14 points for Winthrop (8-6).
TELSTAR/GOULD 65, MARANACOOK 63: Brody Morgan scored 30 points as the Rebels (4-8) rallied from an eight-point, fourth-quarter deficit to pull off the upset in Readfield.
Reiley Hedden added 20 points for Telstar/Gould.
Keagan McClure scored 20 points for Maranacook (11-3), followed by Brandon Chilton with 17 and Jack Fontaine with 13.
POLAND 58, OAK HILL 37: Damon Martin led the Knights (3-10) with 20 points in the win at Poland.
Nick Jamo chipped in with 14 points.
Branden New scored 13 points and Eli Desmond had 10 for Oak Hill (2-12).
OXFORD HILLS 68, CONY 57: Holden Shaw scored 19 points, helping the Vikings (5-9) to the win in Augusta.
Brayden Murch tallied 13 points for Oxford Hills (5-9).
Parker Sergent scored a game-high 23 points for Cony (5-8) and Alex Fournier added 19.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 59, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 56: Sam Calder scored a game high 26 points as the Mustangs squeaked out a close win in Jay.
Lucas Harmon added 13 points for Monmouth (10-3).
Jace Bessey finished with 18 points for Spruce Mountain (10-4) and Cai Dougher scored 12.
VALLEY 71, PISCATAQUIS 42: Fisher Tewksbury had 36 points and nine rebounds as the Cavaliers (11-3) won handily in Bingham.
Harry Louis had 13 assists, nine rebounds and eight points for Valley. Ryan West pulled down 11 rebounds.
Brady Gaw and Scott Chadborn scored 11 points each for Piscataquis (7-6).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 68, PISCATAQUIS 30: Madeline Hill scored 22 points as the Cavaliers remained undefeated with the win in Bingham.
Kiersten Bigelow added 17 points for Valley (15-0), while Liana Hartwell had 14 points and seven assists.
Piscataquis is 2-10.
POLAND 41, KENTS HILL 19: Breanna Bartlett scored a game-high 18 points as the Knights (8-6) won in Poland.
Lacy McDonald and Stefani Munoko paced Kents Hill (0-12) with five points each.
MESSALONSKEE 53, BREWER 47: Chloe Michaud scored 14 points as the Eagles (2-12) prevailed in Oakland.
Ashley Mullen and Sophia Ventimiglia were right behind with 13 points apiece.
Allie Flagg scored a game-high 25 points for Brewer (5-9), followed by Jillian Ford with 10.
