Michael A. Marsh

AUGUSTA – Michael A. Marsh, 59, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at his home. He was born in Augusta on May 19, 1964, a son of the late Joel C. and Dorothy H. (Thompson) Marsh.

Mr. Marsh attended Cony High School and had been employed for years installing and repairing Satellite dishes as well as delivering newspapers for the Kennebec Journal.

He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Marsh of Birmingham England; his parents Joel C. and Dorothy H. (Thompson) Marsh; his brother, Nathan Marsh; and his beloved dog, Ripley.

Mike was a unique soul; he would do anything for his family and friends. He was especially proud of his son and granddaughter. If you ever needed help setting up surround sound or TV, he was your go to man. He could talk your ear off about politics and was very strong in his opinions, but that’s what made him the man he was. He will be missed by many. He had a love for rock music which he passed down to his son and now his granddaughter.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy R. Szady and his wife, Holly and granddaughter, Sophia of Augusta; a brother, Jeffrey Marsh and his wife, Christina of Anchorage, Alaska, a sister, Karen Marsh and her husband Tony of Anchorage, Alaska; several aunts, uncles; cousins; nieces, nephews; and friends.

There will be no public services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Condolences, stories and photos may be shared at http://www.plummerfh.com
