
Danny Joseph Ziebart
AUGUSTA – Danny Joseph Ziebart, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 27, 2024 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born June 8, 1954, a son of Shirley (Vigue) and Gustave Ziebart.
Danny was born and raised in Maine and attended local schools. At a young age, his first job was at the shoe factory. Soon after, he then began working on vehicles at Sunoco Station in Augusta. Danny was an auto mechanic for 50 years and held employment at various automotive shops in the greater Augusta area, mainly Capitol City Tire and Service. Even after retirement, Danny enjoyed working part time at Capitol City.
Danny had a passion for sports. He enjoyed playing softball on the Aces team, and cheering on his beloved New England sports teams; the Patriots and the Red Sox. Some of his favorite pastimes include roller skating, dancing, and scratching lottery tickets on Sundays.
Danny was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cynthia (Pauley) Ziebart; his children, Thomas Ziebart and his wife Chrystal, Nicholas Ziebart, and Ashley Barnett and her husband Court; his stepchildren, Stacie Weidner and her husband Justin, and Scott Frame and his fiancée Chrystal; grandchildren, Tenley, Cooper, Willow, Mya, Conner, Brooklyn, River, Aubrie, and Hunter; his sisters Diane Bean and her husband Roland, and Lori Kates AKA “Baby Sis” and her husband Dan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind his close friends, Billy Jipson, Justin Barker, Rick Melanson and many other dear friends. Family and friends will miss seeing his infectious smile.
