Why are there so many laws proposed that exploit the vulnerabilities of children? With breakneck speed legislators churn out “emergency” legislation. Does anyone have the time to know, much less understand, what is in these new laws?
Good laws protect children from predators who would prey upon them. A child cannot get a tattoo or sign a mortgage. Yet some would allow a child to consent to lifelong drug dependence and surgical procedures. The fact that “gender” surgery has become a profitable “industry” only makes the practice more suspect.
Minors should not be allowed to consent to genital mutilation and dangerous hormone injections; a parent who prevents that should not be considered guilty of child abuse; out-of-staters should not be allowed to bring someone else’s child here for that; the Constitution should not create an unqualified prerogative to abort a child in gestation; and we don’t need to legalize hard drugs. (L.D. 780, L.D. 1735, L.D. 1975).
How about a law protecting kids from the legal drugs flooding their schools? A law that prevents boys from competing in girls sports? Tax breaks (economic freedom) for women so they can choose to have children?
