Bruce Warren Weymouth

AUGUSTA – Bruce Warren Weymouth, 62, passed away on Jan. 26, 2024, with his loving family at his side. He was born June 21, 1961, to the late Jean (Cloutier) and Richard “Dick” Weymouth Sr.

Bruce grew up in Dresden and Winthrop, graduating from Winthrop High School class of 1979. After high school Bruce joined the Air Force serving four years based in Oklahoma. During that time, he had married his first wife, Carol Hanson, and together they had a son. Life brought them in different directions and Bruce remained in Maine.

Bruce met his second wife, Rosealie Farrington in 1989 while working together at Progressive Distributors, eventually having two daughters together. Bruce began driving for L.J Kennedy out of Auburn in 1995 and worked there for 15 years. He then moved on to working for Midwest Run which led him to cross-country journeys. Bruce and Rose separated in 2016 however, remained close friends through his last days.

Bruce took a job working for Bisson Transportation based at the former Jay Paper Mill until he suffered a medical emergency that left him disabled.

Bruce enjoyed football, fishing, hunting, dancing, and having bon fires up at camp on Moosehead Lake. That is where he spent most of his family vacations. There wasn’t a cribbage game he would turn down or a Garth brooks song he wouldn’t blast. Bruce especially loved spending time with his grandson. Bruce was a 28-year member for the American Legion Post #40 in Winthrop.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his siblings, still-born sister, Heidi, his brother, Mark “Buddy” Weymouth, and his sister, Diane “Dee-Dee” Weymouth.

He is survived by his son, Ryan Hanson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Deidre Weymouth and fiancé, Dan Brochu of Parsonsfield; Heidi Weymouth and fiancé, Brock Jellison and grandson Braxton Jellison of Monmouth. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Weymouth and partner Karen Selvick, sister, Debbie Weymouth and partner Mark Pettengill; his nephews Chris, Andrew, Christopher; and many other cousins, relatives and close friends.
