UNITY — Troy artist Sandy Olson’s work is on display through March at the Unity Public Library. The works can be seen anytime the library is open.

A public reception to meet the artist, with light refreshments, is set for 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the 38 School St. library.
Olson describes the inspiration behind her work, “I am by nature a storyteller, mostly about my view of the world; my land, my adventures, my thoughts, my home. I attempt to understand the world around me in the simplest way, with color and lines, drawn like a map; a map that can be read by those who would read it,” according to a news release from Patrice Allen at the library.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
