AUGUSTA — Mark Meyer of Rhythm Revelations plans to give a fully participatory song leading for social justice workshop, designed to build skills and confidence for leading music in worship or in the streets.
The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 69 Winthrop St.
Meyer will share the best practices for invitational leadership and gentle encouragement to singing. He will also expand participants’ repertoire for singing without accompaniment, according to a news release from the church.
A goodwill offering to help defray the cost of the workshop will be accepted. A $10 donation is recommended.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
