Linda (Brown) Morin

AUGUSTA – Linda (Brown) Morin, 75, who was beloved by many, passed away peacefully at Glenridge Gardens Long Term Care Facility in Augusta on Friday, March 1, 2024, with her loving husband Roger by her side.

Linda was born in Augusta on Sept. 24, 1948, to Dorothy (Treattau) Brown and Harvey Chute. Later in life, she was adopted by her stepfather, Malcolm Brown. She spent much of her childhood in Vassalboro, where she still has family. Linda graduated from Cony HS in 1966.

Linda was a talented and accomplished woman. She had a gift for sewing and worked in her mother’s shop making bridal gowns during her early years. Later in life, she became a real estate agent and then an Appraiser for the Maine Department of Transportation. She later established her own businesses, preparing real estate appraisals and income tax.

Linda met the love of her life, Roger Morin, and married him in 1988. They enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren and spent summers at the lake. They raised their biological children and then adopted two more when their house was empty, filling it with love and constant activity.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandchild Avianna.

She is survived by her husband Roger; children, Lisa Stengle (Tom), Glenn Brown (Rae), Heidi Pelczar (AJ), Richard Morin (Kristin), Brandy Lufkin, and Tyler Webb (Corin); grandchildren, Jordan, Gabe, Abby, William, Jack, Michael, Cameron, Hailey, Dakota, and Elliott; sisters, Susan and Kathy, brother Paul (Rusty); and also her dear friend Roland.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will remember her for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
