AUGUSTA – Lee Anne Clement, 78, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Augusta Center For Health & Rehabilitation. She was born in Lewiston on April 7, 1945, the daughter of Leo and Barbara (Smith) Clement.

Lee was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Kents Hill School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Kennebec Beverage for most of her tenure but was also employed with other area businesses for a few years.

A couple things she enjoyed, among others, were traveling to the Big Apple and the Maine coastal regions.

In her later years, she thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren, whom she referred to as her “Babydolls” in everything they did; sports, school and their many activities.

Lee was predeceased by her sons-in-law, Shon Girrior and Mark Desmond (Schmit).

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Clement of Augusta; granddaughter Ashley Lovering and fiancé Daniel Burke of Augusta; grandson Matthew Desmond of Augusta; great grand “Babydolls” Avery, Colter, Patience, Erilee, Colson and Serenity.
