Trinity Commons plans to present a special dance concert, with elements of circus, acrobatics, story and song, featuring Molly Gawler, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at 247 Bates St. in Lewiston.
Gawler is a dancer, musician and mom. She has toured the world as a dancer in Pilobolus Dance Theater and then came back full circle to her home state of Maine. She lives in Orland with her husband, Lao, and sons Caspian and Mica. She has studied at New England Center for Circus Arts, specializing in the Cyr Wheel, Acro Partnering, Acrobatics and Aerial Rope. She is the founder of her own company, Droplet Dance, in which she creates her own choreographic works integrating the arts of circus, acrobatics, music, dance, story and song.
Many audiences also are familiar with Gawler through her appearances with the Gawler Sisters, the Gawler Family Band, and the folk orchestra Childsplay.
Tickets cost $20, and free for those 17 and younger. Tickets are available at arts-people.com.
