Somerset Public Health is set to hold public forums on substance use at 6 p.m. (both days) Thursday, April 11, at the Bingham Town Hall, 13 Murray St., and on Wednesday, April 17, at the Old Point School meeting room, Old Point Avenue in Madison.
There is no registration needed.
Betsy Richard, care coordinator for substance use disorder at Somerset Public Health, will help lead a conversation about substance use in the area.
Topics will range from substance use prevention to treatment and recovery resources.
The public is invited to attend and to share thoughts about what is most needed to help address substance use locally.
Additional staff from Somerset Public Health will provide information and resources. Free locking bags will be available for the safe storage of substances like prescription medications or cannabis.
