Linda J. Brown

AUGUSTA – Linda J. Brown, 74, went to her heavenly home on Easter morning, March 31, 2024, at Maine General Hospital after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Linda was born Sept. 5, 1949, in Gardiner, Maine to Wendell and Clara (Jones) Brown. She grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Lincoln Academy, class of 1967. Linda retired after 35 years of state service from the Department of Labor. She was a member of MSEA, MAR and a long time member of Penney Memorial United Baptist Church in Augusta.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Lloyd W. Brown of Jefferson.

A graveside service will be held on May 6 at 1:30 p.m., at Highland Cemetery, Jefferson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, Augusta.
