JACKMAN — Emma Lacasse of Jackman, a senior at Forest Hills Consolidated School, is receiving the 2024 Principal’s Award, Principal Thad Lacasse announced today.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Throughout her years at Forest Hills, Emma has distinguished herself in the classroom, on the playing field, and as a leader in the school and the community. In addition to her high school diploma, Emma will earn her Certificate in Health Sciences from KVCC at graduation. Emma has taken numerous college courses both virtually and in person,” Principal Thad Lacasse said in a news release from the school.
Award winners and their principals plan to attend an honors luncheon in early April.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
