Capital Area Technical Center has named Aiden Poisson and Hailey Smart its March professionals of the month.
They are being lauded for their exceptional dedication and achievements in their respective programs, according to a news release from Stephanie Turgeon with the center.

Poisson, of Farmingdale, a junior from Gardiner Area High School, stands out in the Auto Body program at CATC. Despite coming in with some prior knowledge about cars, he has exceeded his own expectations by delving into the intricacies of auto repair.
Poisson works at the Gardiner Boys and Girls Club, where he serves as a role model for the children under his care. He plans to continue his education in the Auto Collision field after completing another year in the Auto Body program at CATC.

Smart, of Augusta, a senior at Cony High School in Augusta, shines in the Graphic Design and Printing program at CATC. Throughout the year, she has thrived in learning various software programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, expanding her artistic skills beyond traditional mediums.
Smart, a member of the Latin Club, engages in babysitting jobs. Her next step in her educational journey will lead her to the University of Maine at Orono, where she plans to major in fine arts.
