I’m excited to know that Cassie Julia is running to be Waterville’s Maine House District 65 representative. At a time when women’s reproductive rights are threatened here as well as nationally, I will finally have a representative who is pro-choice and willing to vote to protect our right to bodily autonomy. I also appreciate that Cassie will defend the rights of LGBTQ people.

In addition, Cassie has a long track record of work supporting our schools and community. She founded Friends of the Waterville Public Schools and has raised thousands of dollars in support of the Waterville Parent Teacher Organization for enrichment activists in school, the school food pantry, prepaying reduced lunch fees for K-12 before the statewide free-lunch initiatives, and teacher appreciation efforts. I know she will work in Augusta to support our public schools and support Waterville.
