WATERVILLE — The Colby College baseball team hit a historic mark on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mules racked up 15 hits on the way to a 12-1 victory over Plymouth State at Coombs Field in the regular season finale. With the win, Colby (26-8) secured the best season in program history.

Ryan Grace had three doubles and two RBIs for Colby, while Patrick Shrake added three hits. Joe Sylvester earned the win on the mound for the Mules.

Cam Manning and Alex Rives each had two hits for the Panthers (9-18).

The season is not over for the Mules. Colby begins its playoff run this weekend, hosting Wesleyan in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) quarterfinals.
