The Maine State Credit Union will host a book-signing of “Where Maine Reads” by Buddy Doyle from 1- 4 p.m. on May 10 at 200 Capitol St. in Augusta.
Events include a short reading by local Maine author Buddy Doyle. Maine humorist and one of the Mainers featured in the book, Gary Crocker, will be on hand.
People can purchase the book at the event or at local independent bookshops such as at Monkitree and Alan Claude Gallery in Gardiner, The Children’s Cellar bookstore in Waterville, and many other bookstores throughout Maine.
Proceeds from the sale of the book benefit Maine Public’s children’s literacy programs.
Refreshments will be served.
