Alan Clark
PITTSTON – Alan Clark transitioned peacefully and with dignity at Maine Medical Center on Saturday April 27, 2024, surrounded by his wife Ellen, son Caleb, daughter Lauren and their significant others. He made us laugh and spoke of being a proud husband, father and a friend to many. He shared a vision of winning as a drag racer, both a sign of going to a better place and a reminiscence of his youthful heyday.
Alan grew up in Pittston and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1975. He was married to Ellen for 43 years. He retired from Maine Yankee in 2020 where he worked for nearly 15 years, and before that he had worked at Gardiner Paperboard for nearly 15 years. He received much thanks and praise for his hard work and people skills. He valued time with family and being outdoors.
Other survivors include aunt, Gloria Rundstrom and husband Gary, uncle, Erroll Clark; Lauren’s partner Austin Archer; mother and father-in-law, Frances and Robert Greely; sister, Tina Bickford; several in-laws; nieces and nephews; and cousins
He was predeceased by his brother, Wendell Clark; uncle, Jim Bickford; father, Frank Clark, mother, Audrey Barrett, stepfather, Glen Barrett; many cousins; and many animal companions.
There will be a celebration of life held by the family in roughly a month. Please reach out to the family.
