WATERVILLE — A Day with a Chess Grandmaster is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Waterville First Church, 1 Park St.
Nadezhda “Nadya” Kosintseva, a distinguished chess player with titles like Woman Grandmaster and Grandmaster, will give a lesson, answer questions, and play 50 people at a simultaneous exhibition.
A chess blitz tournament, with a $100 prize and trophies, will be held before the exhibition with an open area for anybody who wants to play chess.
