
PENOBSCOT — The Maine New Farmers Project at University of Maine Cooperative Extension is set to offer a farm visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at King Hill Farm, 29 Faerie Kingdom Road.
Farmer/owner Paul Schultz will share methods of harvesting and storing vegetables and discuss the farm’s hay production. This event is geared toward people interested in starting a farm in Maine or who have started one in the last 10 years. It provides an opportunity to learn important skills as well as network with other farmers and service providers.
The event is free; registration at extension.umaine.edu is required to stay up to date with updates and resources.
