The majority of Mainers support reproductive autonomy. Unfortunately, the current District 65 state representative in Waterville votes according to his personal religious beliefs. Instead of listening to the experiences of women and health care providers who know that these decisions must be private, his votes endanger the lives and health of pregnant people and compromises the ethical obligations of providers.
Voters are in luck! You can choose Cassie Julia, a reproductive rights supporter, in the June 11 Democratic primary.
As a strong advocate for children, Cassie also founded Friends of the Waterville Public Schools raising funds for enrichment, teacher appreciation, food pantries, and reduced lunch fees. Her communication skills and ability to work with others will serve her constituents well in Augusta.
Affordable housing, healthcare, property tax relief, climate change, substance abuse and mental health challenges are also her priorities.
Check out her out (cassiejulia.com) then vote!
