As the capital city, Augusta has unique needs. It takes someone who truly knows and understands the issues of a state capital to represent our community well at a state level. Rep. Raegan LaRochelle is that person and she will have my vote this November for Senate District 15, which includes Augusta, Belgrade, China, Mount Vernon, Sidney and Vassalboro.

Augusta hosts the Legislature each session and a large portion of state government yearlong. We who live and work in Augusta feel the impact of decisions about state properties and employees directly here — the good and the bad. We need a voice in the Legislature that is thinking about Augusta specifically when such decisions come before the legislature.

As a homeowner, parent, and resident of Augusta, Raegan feels the same repercussions we do when the state sets policies about property, state employees and state services. She knows the honor and responsibility we in Augusta bear as a capital city.
