In an attempt to distract from his poor record on reproductive rights (boasting an 11% Planned Parenthood approval rating) and lackluster performance on LGBTQ+ issues, it has been implied that Cassie Julia lacks her opponent’s experience in Augusta — she has far more experience than when he started six years ago, and we can absolutely trust her to vote in complete solidarity with women and LGBTQ+ communities.
Waterville’s current mayor, a past mayor, and two former city councilors — all House District 65 primary voters — have endorsed her over a three-term incumbent. Once she is elected to this position, there is no doubt in my mind that Cassie will be an outstanding representative for House District 65.
Cassie’s long history of community service and action predates her decision to run for office. She shows up for the people, not herself. She’s always advocated for Waterville, and now is the time to send that dedication to Augusta.
