WALES — Oak Hill pulled away thanks to a six-run fourth inning to beat Dirigo 13-6 in softball action Thursday.
Sierra Lane had the lone multi-hit game for Oak Hill (7-6), who only had five hits but the made the most of 12 walks and five Dirigo errors. Eliana Smith walked three times, drove in two runs and scored twice. Izzy Whitaker pitched a complete game for the Raiders, striking out nine and not walking any batters.
Abby Luczynski had three hits, including a double, for Dirigo (8-4). Lana White also doubled, while Kiera Reny tripled and drove in two runs. Reny and Xandria Libby each had two hits.
MT. ABRAM 12, TELSTAR 2: Adrianna Stinchfield pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and the Roadrunners used a big bottom of the fifth inning to finish off the Rebels early in Salem Township.
Mt. Abram (4-9) scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game via the 10-run rule.
Ari Dereszynski and Ruby Forsley each had two hits, with Forsley driving in two runs and Celia Rose collecting three RBIs.
Sarah Chase spoiled Stinchfield’s no-hit bid with a single. Viv Charette drove in a run and scored a run. Karen Marshall also drove in a run for Telstar (2-11).
