Richard Phillip McGlinn

GARDINER – Richard Phillip McGlinn devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away after a brief illness at Maine General Health, Augusta, surrounded by his loving family on April 21, 2024.

Richard was born in Portland, a son to Geraldine Lyons McGlinn and Phillip Richard McGlinn.

Richard known to many as “Dick” was a long-time resident of Gardiner where he and is loving wife, Rowena Amy Sprague McGlinn “Rosie” raised two daughters. Richard’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family.

Richard worked for BIW Local 6 for 30 years. He retired in 2005.

In addition to his wife Rosie, Dick leaves behind his daughters Karen Lynn McGlinn and Vickie Nadeau with husband Dalen Nadeau. He also leaves behind his sister, Janice McAtee; grandchildren, Ryleigh Lynn, Isabella Lilly, Charles Matthew and Dale Norman; great-grandchildren, Eli Floyd, Raelyn Willow; nieces Susan, Rachel and Sarah, nephews Ron and Ben.

Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held later with date to be determined.
