HIRAM — Winning pitcher Shannah Parsons hit a game-tying two-run homer in the seventh, and Bella Lyons doubled in the go-ahead run as the Monmouth Academy softball team defeated Sacopee Valley 5-3 on Saturday.
The Mustangs (12-2) scored four runs in the seventh to rally from a 3-1 deficit.
Parsons scattered six hits and struck out 11 batters to earn the win in the circle. Teammate Rileigh Chase added two hits.
Charlotte Cyr took the loss for Sacopee Valley (7-8).
