Adria Callan
SOLON – On Sept. 25, 2023 Adria Danielle Callan succumbed to the addictions that took her life.
Adria was born Dec. 1, 1978, in Skowhegan. She spent her childhood growing up in Bingham and spent lots of time with her neighborhood friend, Josh, in Bingham, and her beloved Grammy and Pappy in Skowhegan. Adria was considered a beloved “daughter” by her god parents, Aunt Ann and Uncle Bruce Gamage.
Adria’s friends and family will forever remember her for her vivaciousness, compassion, athletic talents, and intelligence. Her musical gift (blossoming very early in life) in combination with her sunny disposition, led to her early family nickname of “Deedles”.
Adria was a 1997 graduate of Carrabec High School, where she will be remembered for her a cappella performances of the National Anthem at many home basketball games.
Adria enjoyed making friends with (and entertaining) residents at the neighborhood nursing home in Bingham which, in turn, inspired her to pursue a career as a music therapist at Bradford College following her graduation from high school.
As a child, Adria enjoyed family camping trips (especially at Chase Pond, where she “earned” her rowing certificate) and spending time with friends.
Adria leaves behind two children, Kimberley Landry and Mark Oliveira II.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to a charity of your choice in Adria’s memory. You may want to consider non profits supporting the recovery of addicts and their children such as:
