WALDOBORO — The Lincoln County Democratic Committee plans to host its annual Family Fun Day Lobster Bake from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, at Cider Hill Farm, 785 Main St.
“Each year, for over 40 years now, year-rounders and summer residents, Democrats and Dem-leaning voters alike, have come together to celebrate Democratic ideals with a summer’s afternoon of fun, fellowship, and great food,” said Geoff Bates, organizer of this year’s event, in a news release.
This all-American event will feature live music, freshly shucked local oysters and grassroots politicking at its most personal. The afternoon begins with a social hour followed by dinner at 1 p.m. Short speeches by candidates, representatives in government and special guests follow. Three onsite raffles will provide opportunities for guests to support the LCDC.
Online reservations can be made at lincolncountydemocrats.com/lobster by Wednesday, July 31. For those who would like to provide additional support for the event, host committee sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information, call Bates at 207-644-8776.
