Ruby L. Shelley
RICHMOND – Ruby L. Shelley, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Winship Green Nursing Home, Bath. She was born in McRae, Ga. on Nov. 8, 1939, the daughter of Rueben and Mary Harrelson.
Ruby worked at Bell Telephone and Bath Iron Works as a telephone operator for many years. She was also a devoted Navy wife.
Ruby was an avid reader of Harlequin Romance books. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and rug hooking.
She was predeceased by her parents; and husband Randall Shelley. Ruby is survived by daughter Deborah Bedard and husband Gary of Bowdoin, son Christopher Shelley and wife Wendy of Richmond; brother Jerry Harrelson of Florida; grandchildren Christopher, Matthew and Maeley.
The family would like to thank the staff at Winship Green, Constellation Hospice and Mid Coast Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 5 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
