Brian Richmond will kick off The Coburn Park 2024 Concerts in the Park at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at the park on U.S. Route 2 in Skowhegan.

Richmond is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist who has performed around the central Maine area for many years.

He studied jazz at The University of Maine at Augusta and plays guitar, sax, flute and wind synthesizer and is also a composer. He performs solo as a singer songwriter, plays in the rock band Suzy and the Smelts as well as various jazz ensembles.

The following concerts will be held every Sunday through Aug. 25:
July 14 — Bob Lovelace;
July 21 — Merry-Go-Roundup;
July 28 — Borderline Express;
Aug. 4 — Barbie Demo’s Sing-a long;
Aug. 11 — Kennebec Performing Arts;
Aug. 18 — Skowhegan Community Band; and
Aug. 25 — Sunday Project.

Donations are accepted at each concert for the Peg Hamilton Youth Art Scholarship.
