
Florentine “Peggy” Jones
SKOWHEGAN – Florentine “Peggy” Jones, 88, passed away peacefully at a local hospital surrounded by family on June 28, 2024. Peggy was born in Skowhegan on Aug. 13, 1935, daughter of Lyndon and Ruby (Scott) Greene.
Peggy lived her life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In years past she and her husband, Richard, enjoyed bee keeping, draft horses, and socializing with their many friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Richard E. Jones; brother, Richard Greene, and sister, Gretchen.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda, son, Carlton and his wife Kathy; grandson, Matthew and his wife Miranda, granddaughter, Rachael; and many nieces and nephews. She was also recently blessed with a beautiful great-granddaughter, Skylar.
The family wants to thank all the caring staff at both Woodlawn Nursing Home, and the Emergency Room and Special Care Unit staff members at Redington Fairview Hospital.
Graveside services will be at the Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock on July 20 at 1 p.m.
