Jaime (Taylor) Daniels
NORRIDGEWOCK – Jaime Taylor Daniels, 46, passed away peacefully with family by her side from complications following surgery as well as her MS, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, on June 27, 2024.
Jaime was born on Aug. 20, 1977, in Waterville, only child to Roland and Sallencie (Dostie) Taylor. She graduated from Messalonskee High School in 1995 and received her Associate’s Degree in Radiology in 2009 from Kennebec Community College. She was an accomplished professional, serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Ward Secretary, and Radiology Technician at Maine General Medical Center.
She married the love of her life, Alfredo Daniels on Aug. 25, 2001, in Vassalboro. They were married nearly 20 years before he passed away in May of 2021.
Jaime was a lover of animals, with a fondness for cats, dogs, and dolphins. Her favorite dogs, Budd and Snaps, held a special place in her heart. She loved sports, playing both basketball and field hockey in high school and she was a huge Boston Celtics fan. For the last several years, she celebrated her birthday skydiving. Jaime’s adventurous spirit led her on numerous cruises with her family, with swimming with dolphins being her favorite excursion as recently as November of 2023.
Her taste in music was as unique as her personality, finding joy in the tunes of Michael Bublé, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, and The Coral Reefer Band. Holidays spent with family and friends were treasured moments, filled with laughter and love. Jamie enjoyed going out to eat with her parents on a weekly basis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Daniels; her grandparents Andrew G. Dostie II, Encie R. (Rumery) Hobbs, and Ernest and Pearl (Bellefleur) Taylor; and cousin, Kim Howard.
Jaime is survived by her parents Roland and Sallencie (Dostie) Taylor; aunts and uncle Christy and Nancy Wing, Sheila Bartley, and Lorna O-Roarke, and Allen and Kathy Taylor; many cousins; her godmother, Delia Desveaux; and a lifetime best friend, Renee O’Neal. She also leaves behind her mother and father-in-law, Josephine and Michael Daniels; sister-in-law, Felecia Gentilini (Matt), brother-in-law, Felix Piccolo (Mary); nieces and nephew, Kaylee, Samantha, Isabella and Felix Piccolo III, Jeffrey M. Daniels, and Ava Parquette.
Jaime’s family would like to thank those at Maine Medical Center who took exceptional care of her.
