Local Equity Principal Auditions for the 2024-25 season will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, July 15, at The Public Theatre in Lewiston.
Equity members may schedule an audition appointment by calling 207-782-2211 Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Or leave a message if calling outside of business hours.
Local Non-Equity Actors may attend the Equity Principal Auditions, however, due to Equity requirements, we are unable to schedule a specific appointment time. Please call the office and someone will advise you where there is availability in the audition schedule.
Bring a picture and resume stapled together.
To audition, please prepare two 2-minute contemporary monologues appropriate for the shows listed in our season breakdown OR audition sides for roles in “Dracula,” “A Comedy of Terrors,” and “Halfway There” will be available at the theatre. Sides can be requested in advance of the auditions at the time you set your appointment.

All acting roles are paid positions. Rehearsals are generally from 12-8 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.
The Public Theatre is open to non-traditional casting and encourages participation by performers of all races and ethnicities.
