Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause truck is set to be at The Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation’s Trail Access For All fundraiser from 2:30-4 p.m. Friday, July 19, at 188 Eastern Ave.
Families and community members are invited to attend the event, which also will include lawn games and music.
“Residents are raising funds to purchase interpretive signs and trailside amenities like rustic benches and birdhouses,” says Keith Smith, director of life enrichment, according to a news release from the center.
Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause was designed as a fun way to give back to local communities and causes. The truck can be found at local events to give out ice cream for free, in exchange for voluntary donations to benefit the cause or charity.
Since 2012, the truck has raised more than $552,000 for thousands of causes and charities.
