FARMINGDALE – It is with profound sadness and a sense of peace that we share the passing of Dianne McCollor, a beloved mother, and a cherished member of the Farmingdale community.
Dianne, born in Skowhegan on Dec. 1, 1939, embarked on her final journey on July 7, 2024. Her life was a testament to her adventurous spirit, creative mind, and resilient heart.
Dianne’s dedication to her work was evident in her long and fulfilling career with the Maine Municipal Court. Her excellence and diligence as a Court Clerk in Augusta, earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the community at large. Yet, beyond her professional commitments, Dianne was a woman of diverse interests. Her love for crafts, novelty collecting, and fashion served as a creative outlet and brought joy to those around her. Her unique sense of style and eye for color and detail often turned an ordinary day into a vibrant celebration of life.
Dianne’s adventurous spirit was not limited to her hobbies. She lived a full and rewarding life in various corners of Maine, making homes and cherished memories in Embden, Solon, Winslow, and Farmingdale. However, it was her faith and dedication to the Highland Avenue United Methodist Church that truly defined her resilient spirit. In the words of the Psalmist, “I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken” (Psalm 16:8). Dianne carried this verse in her heart, reflecting its essence in her unwavering courage and strength.
She is survived by her loving sons, Christopher McCollor and Todd McCollor. She joins in eternal rest her late parents, Clayton Sr. and Peggy Stevens; and her dear husband, Paul McCollor. Dianne’s legacy is not just in the family she leaves behind but in the lives of everyone she touched with her radiant energy and warm heart.
We invite you to share your favorite memories of Dianne and upload photos to the memorial page found at dsfuneral.com. This is a place for us all to remember and celebrate the adventurous, creative, dedicated, and resilient spirit that was Dianne McCollor.
