
CHINA – Karl Day Jr., 54, passed July 7, 2024 at 2:22 p.m. at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a battle with cancer.
Born in Augusta on July 16, 1969, he was the son of Ada Faris and Karl Day Sr., raised in Windsor, ME and resided In China, ME. He was a graduate of Erskine Academy.
Karl was a true lover of animals, saving turtles from the roads and feeding the stray cats in the neighborhood. He loved to read, play DnD, and watch horror movies. He was happiest at home with his family and pets.
Survivors include his love, Rose Leach, sisters, Peggy McKenna and Debbie Richards, brothers, Timothy Jackson and Warren Jackson; step children, Roxanne Wyman, Rebecca Leach and Randy Leach; four grandchildren, Avalee Keith, Elijah Del Lima, Salvador Wyman, and Georgia Wyman.
He was predeceased by his mother and father; brother, Allen Jackson; and his beloved dog Zoe.
Arrangements are in the care of Direct Cremation of Maine.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your local animal shelter in honor of Karl, a loving and gentle soul or donate to the cost of his final arrangements
