WINTHROP — Quinlin “Quin” Fournier of Jay received his Eagle Scout award July 11.
Fournier, the son of Duane and Christine Fournier, created a map of Kineowatha Park in Wilton and indicated the places with invasive species, Troop 604 Scoutmaster Samantha Remington-Doody said about about his Eagle Scout service project. Fournier provided information on how to remove them safely.

“Your father has stood by you over the years and has offered his encouragement and assistance. As the symbol of what he has contributed to your attainment of this award, we now ask you to present him with a miniature Eagle pin,” said Troop 604 Scoutmaster Samantha Remington-Doody. Quinlan Fournier, left, pinned his father Duane as his mother Christine looked on. Submitted photo
Fournier is a student at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, where he studies computer sciences. He is entering his junior year in September.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
