
Corinne M. Parady
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Corinne M. (Belyea) Parady, 94, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024.
Born Dec. 7, 1929, in Gardiner, Maine to the late Florizel Hazelwood Belyea (1905 – 1941) and Cora Mae Woodworth (1902 – 1983). Corinne was a devoted and loving wife of 63 years to the late Walter E. Parady(1919-2019). Corinne proudly took over caring for their home and younger half sister after Pearl Harbor was attacked on her 12th birthday and her mother became a welder to support the war effort.
Later, she enjoyed working as the youngest office manager at Remmington Rand. In her twenties she joined the local Channel 10 teaching culinary health and cooking. Corinne was proud of her work on macrobiotics with Michio Kushi at the Kushi Institute of Boston, she used her skills to ease the pain of terminal cancer patients.
Aside from “her Walter” Corinne’s passions included holistic healing, traveling, skiing, her family, and many friends. She and Walter became two of the first season ticket holders at Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort in 1950, they were avid skiers into their late eighties. They traveled extensively throughout Canada, Europe, and the US seeking the perfect powder. Before retiring to Punta Gorda, Fla., Corinne and Walter built eight homes themselves, Corinne was the wiring expert, throughout Maine, including Sugarloaf Mountain, Great Wass Island, and Lake St. George.
Corinne is lovingly survived by her son Michael E. Parady and his wife Lorrie; half-sister Lynnette Hodgdon; grandchildren, James S. Kelliher and his partner Ann, Kevin C. Kelliher and his wife Michelle, and Christopher M. Parady and his wife Molly; her much beloved nephew Garrett Hodgdon, stepdaughter Bernice J. Kelliher; five great-grandchildren, Katherine Kelliher, Shane Kelliher, Cameron Kelliher, Colin Kelliher, and Ruth Parady; and great great-grandson Killian Kelliher.
Corinne will be remembered for her kindness, generous spirit, and ability to make everyone feel special. She will be laid to rest beside her soulmate Walter and her family in Litchfield, Maine. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
