
Gail Parker
FARMINGDALE – Gail Parker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, July 17, 2024. She was married to her devoted husband Dana Parker for 66 wonderful years, and together they shared an incredible journey of 70 years. Gail had seven siblings and is survived by her two younger siblings, brother Bruce Johnson and his wife Linda, and sister Marcella Dowling.
Gail’s legacy lives on through her five children: twins Diana Ely, married to husband Thomas Ely III and Donna Antognoni, married to Robert Secondo Antognoni, and sons Dana Parker Junior (Butch), David Parker, married to wife Alethea Snyder-Parker, and Jonathan Parker (JonBoy). Gail’s children blessed her with twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and an additional great-grandchild expected soon.
Gail was also a cherished and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and touched countless lives through her volunteerism. She was born and raised in Chelsea, Maine, and spent most of her life in Farmingdale, Maine. Her greatest joy was always her large, loving and ever-growing family, in which she took immense pride.
Gail will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, her warm heart, and her joyful spirit. She leaves behind a multitude of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Gail’s visitation will be held on Thursday August 8 from 1-2 p.m., with a memorial service to immediately follow at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Care, One Church St., Augusta, where memories, condolences and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of our website at http://www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
