The 60th Maine State Federation Firefighters Convention is set for Friday through Sunday, Sept. 13-15, at the Head of Falls on Front Street in Waterville.
Convention hours are 4-11 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.
The convention will kick off Friday with registration and a live concert at 7 p.m. by the Fossils.
On Saturday, the Fire Parade will start at 9 a.m. on College Avenue, running from Hazelwood Avenue to Head of Falls. An antique fireman’s muster and traditional fireman’s muster will be held on Main Street starting at 12:30 p.m.
Any organization that wants to be in the parade, with a fire-related theme, can do so at fireconvention.com.
Throughout the day, there will be vendor booths under a large tent, a beer garden, food trucks and live entertainment by Howl at the Moon in the evening.
Vendor items for sale will include T-shirts, convention mugs and challenge coins.
On Sunday, a breakfast banquet will be served. Because of limited seating, the banquet has been filled.
All events are free.
Vendors are still being accepted. Those who would like to place an ad in the Convention Souvenir Book can visit the convention website.
Craft booths spaces can be rented for $35.
