It is easy to be disenchanted with politics, and weary of all the drama, particularly on the national level. However, voters in Senate District 15 (comprising Augusta, Belgrade, China, Mount Vernon, Sidney and Vassalboro) have a candidate they can be proud to support.
Raegan LaRochelle serves in the Legislature, representing the west side of Augusta. Prior to that, she was an Augusta city councilor and active in many community organizations and endeavors. Throughout it all, she has led with integrity, compassion and intelligence. Raegan is an excellent listener, a thoughtful decision-maker and responsive elected official.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of knowing Raegan and her family. I am impressed with her intellect, her humane approach to public office and her devotion to service. Doing all of that while raising two boys and owning a business is no small feat.
I am truly excited by her candidacy for the Maine Senate. She is an antidote to the political blahs!
